Half of My Heart /La Mitad de Mi Corazón is a collection of true stories told by immigrants from Mexico and other Latin American countries who attended a series of twenty interactive, bilingual theatre performances by the ensemble Hudson River Playback Theatre, funded by the Dyson Foundation. Audience members told their stories of loss and struggle, gratitude and success, and watched as actors and musicians transformed them into theatre on the spot. These powerful stories, transcribed and photo-illustrated, narrate a new chapter in the long, foundational story of immigration to the United States.
